A tripartite memorandum on the continuation of cooperation between Metinvest's Ingulets GOK, the Karpivka Village Council and NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future" was signed for the fifth time in Kryvyi Rih. This year, the work involves collaborative development of cutting-edge technologies for environmental protection, infrastructure development, and improvements to rural and interrural roads.
Karpivshchyna is a community of Kryvyi Rih district, bordering the southern part of the city, where the production facilities of the Ingulets GOK are located. In 2019, the long-standing partnership between the company and the community moved to a higher level. At that time, the parties officially documented their commitment to working together on the development and improvement of rural infrastructure in a memorandum for the first time. The beneficial interaction between business and community did not stop in wartime.
This year, the signed document is the fifth in a row. It refers to the main areas of work on which the partners will focus. Right now, the community's top priority is improving communication between villages. Karpivshchyna, which occupies an area of more than 300 km², has 26 settlements. The condition of rural and interrural roads in some areas is currently in extremely unsatisfactory condition. Therefore, prioritizing the needs of citizens, businesses will soon allocate funds to improve roads in the villages of Radevycheve and Andriyivka. They will also upgrade the road along Naberezhna Street in Zelenyi Stav, and repair the sections from the crossroads at Tykhyi Stav to Rozivka, as well as from the military unit to Zelena Balka.
Additionally, under the memorandum, production workers will continue their commitment to dust suppression at industrial sites and tailings storage facilities, as well as landscaping the settlements near the enterprise's sanitary protection zones. Additionally, Ingulets GOK will provide free drinking water to residents of the villages of Zelenyi Hai, Mogylivka, Karpivka and Vyshneve.
It is worth noting that supplying drinking water to the community's villages was a key focus of last year's memorandum. In pursuance of the agreements, jointly with Metinvest's InGOK, in the villages of Shyroka Dacha and Radevycheve of the Karpivka community, three wells were bored, equipped with pumping equipment and treatment systems. High-quality and timely execution of works, both last year and now, is coordinated by the NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future".
