In the autumn of 2023, Metinvest Polytechnic opened a new educational programme for masters "Metallurgy Modernisation Management". The university became the first higher education institution in Ukraine to start training specialists to restore the industrial potential of the state after the war. Recently, students of the programme took part in a week-long offline session.
The educational programme "Metallurgy Modernisation Management" is a combination of two areas – metallurgy and management, which provides for the training of highly qualified specialists who are able to manage the work of the team in the process of complex transformation of production technologies, capacities and infrastructure. Education in this area opens up broad prospects for specialists and will be in high demand during the future reconstruction of Ukraine.
As part of the educational process, students of the programme took part in a week-long offline session, organised by Metinvest Sichsteel, the main carrier of expertise in technology and management of strategic investment projects of Metinvest Group.
The programme of the offline session was structured in such a way that students received maximum useful knowledge of technology, investment project management, operational efficiency and design. To do this, they communicated with industry experts, with whom they discussed the strategic vision for the development of the metallurgical business in Ukraine and the world. For example, Maria VASYLIEVA, General Director of Metinvest Sichsteel, spoke about the complex processes of strategic management of investment projects.
