IDPs with Disabilities Receive Humanitarian Aid in Zaporizhzhia

Every day Metinvest Green Centre in Zaporizhzhia is attended by many people. Ukrainians who had to leave their homes due to the full-scale war and move to Zaporizhzhia come here for support.

Previously, the food packages from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation were provided to residents of Malobelozersk community, but now all internally displaced people with disabilities receive such assistance.

"Currently, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provides assistance to people with disabilities. However, in the future, we plan to distribute the food packages to pensioners, large families, and single parents. We will do everything we can to help our people in these difficult times," said Yaroslav GROSHEV, manager of Metinvest Green Centre in Zaporizhzhia.

Elena Mishchenko, an IDP from Guliaipole, also visited the centre. This is not the first time she has sought help from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

"I received food packages a year ago, and now again. Of course, it helps us a lot. It was a very difficult time for us, we had just moved from Guliaipole and it was hard to adapt to the new place. We are very grateful for the help," said Olena.

Also, among those present was Vira Bulatova, a resident of Vasylivka. She is also receiving the package for the second time. The woman lived in the occupation for six months. Now Vira is fighting cancer – she has already undergone surgery and chemotherapy. She says that almost all her money is spent on treatment. Therefore, the humanitarian aid package she received is extremely necessary for her family.

"It contains a lot of things – pasta, oil, canned meat, various delicacies. Everything we eat every day. This package will suffice us for about two weeks. We are grateful to the Foundation for not leaving us alone in difficult times," said Vira.
