In 2026, Metinvest continues cooperation with Lozuvatka community

Integrated Iron Ore of Metinvest, NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future" and Lozuvatka village council have formally confirmed their intentions to implement joint socially significant projects this year in a memorandum of cooperation.

In 2026, the priority among the partnership agreements remains the continuation of repair work as part of the reconstruction of the kindergarten building in the village of Sofiivka and the second stage of major renovation works at the Lozuvatka outpatient clinic. In addition, under the existing memorandum, Central Iron Ore will carry out the irrigation of berms and service roads throughout the year in accordance with the approved schedules, and will provide backfill material for grading and landscaping rural and intervillage roads. The partnership agreements also include organizational and technical support in case of emergencies.

"We have been working to improve life for residents in the Lozuvatka community since 2021, and the war has not changed our intentions. While our defenders are defending Ukraine, here, in the rear, we are doing everything we can to ensure that people live in comfort and have access to medical, administrative and social support in proper conditions," said Ihor TONIEV, General Director of Metinvest's Integrated Iron Ore.

Director of NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future" Olena Leshchenko noted that this year will see the fourth stage of work as part of the reconstruction of the kindergarten building in the village of Sofiivka, which already houses a police station, an Administrative Service Centre and a centre for cultural and educational development. To complete the project, the façade still needs to be refurbished and the surrounding area landscaped.

Also on the agenda is the continuation of the important project to renovate the Lozuvatka General Practice Family Medicine Clinic, which began last year. This will involve a major refurbishment of the interior, including the replacement of the electrical, lighting, heating, water supply and sewage systems.

“Together with our partners, we are continuing to work towards the sustainable development of the Lozuvatka territorial community, creating a comfortable environment for living and economic growth, despite all the challenges of the times we face today. Thanks to our long-standing cooperation, we are already seeing results that directly benefit our community and strengthen it. For example, around 13,000 of our residents are already receiving the necessary medical and social services. This work will continue in the future,” emphasised Vitalii YATSENKO, Head of the Lozuvatka Village Council.
