Students of Metinvest Polytechnic entered the TOP-10 of participants of the engineering competition "Best of the Best 2.0" in the field of industrial automation. The event was held in Zhytomyr at the premises of ITM Automation School Competence Center of Polissia National University and brought together more than three dozen of the best students from all over Ukraine. The organizer was ENCOM, a provider of solutions in the field of automation.
Among the participants are students of the first private mining and metallurgical university in Ukraine: Oleksii Sytnyk, Vasyl Kinshakov and Andrii Shkolnyi. They successfully passed both stages of the competition – theoretical and practical – demonstrating thorough knowledge in electrical engineering, automatic control theory, digital electronics and programming of process systems. The result – a place in the TOP-10 – became a worthy assessment of the quality of training and an example of effective teamwork.
Upon their return, the students shared their impressions.
Vasyl KINSHAKOV noted that the competition became a valuable platform for his professional growth: "Participation in competitions is a serious experience in solving both theoretical and practical issues, and also a great opportunity to communicate with industry specialists. I am very grateful to Metinvest Polytechnic and ITM Automation School for this opportunity to become better."
Andrii SHKOLNYI drew attention to the importance of the practical aspect: "I am glad that we managed to achieve such a result. This is a consequence of our teamwork and the support of Polytechnic teachers. I am convinced that this experience will be useful both during my studies and in my professional life."

Oleksii SYTNYK also shared his vision, who especially liked the format of the event: "These two days were very productive. I liked that the tasks were as close as possible to real cases, but at the same time designed for different levels of training. It allowed everyone to compete on an equal footing."
The student team was supported by Viktoriia Miroshnychenko, assistant professor of the Department of Automation, Electrical and Robotic Systems. She emphasized not only the level of training of students, but also the value of such events for the image of the university:
"Taking part in such competitions offline for the first time, our students immediately demonstrated a competitive level and entered the TOP-10. This is an indicator not only of their perseverance, but also of the systematic training they receive at Metinvest Polytechnic. I am grateful to Metinvest for supporting students who combine work at enterprises with studies, as well as to the organizers – ENCOM and ITMAS – for the opportunity for young people to feel part of the professional community. Such events are not just competitions, but an important platform for the growth of future engineers," said Viktoriia MIROSHNYCHENKO.

Metinvest Polytechnic strengthens the position of the university, which combines high-quality engineering education with real production experience. Thanks to close cooperation with enterprises, students apply the acquired knowledge in practice during their studies, which forms specialists who are ready for the challenges of modern industry.
