The first vessel (since 2025) carrying US coking coal chartered by Metinvest gas arrived in Ukraine. The bulk carrier Bison delivered 80,000 tonnes of coal from the Group’s US-based enterprise, United Coal Company (UCC). This shipment is aiming to support sustainable steelmaking operations of the Group in Ukraine following the suspension of operations Pokrovske Coal. As part of the Rinat Akhmetov Steel Front initiative, Metinvest Group has established mass production of protective screens for Roshel armored vehicles – Canadian-made equipment that is actively used on the front lines.The Roshel Senator armored vehicles are Canadian wheeled platforms widely deployed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces for personnel transport, medical evacuation, and patrol missions. While they come equipped with solid base armor, the realities of the Ukrainian frontline require additional protection from FPV drones and shrapnel.To address this, Metinvest has launched production of external protective screens – special metal structures mounted onto the exterior of the vehicles. These screens act as a barrier, intercepting blast waves and fragments before they can reach the vehicle’s hull.
