Tetiana Petruk, Chief Sustainability Officer of Metinvest Group, has been named by Forbes Ukraine as one of the country’s 11 most effective HR leaders. The ranking forms part of the magazine’s Who’s Who in Ukrainian Business study. The project aims to highlight the nation’s top HR professionals and share their experience of tackling staff shortages, burnout and the reintegration of veterans. The longlist was drawn up by the Forbes Ukraine editorial team together with experts from Korn Ferry, on the basis of recommendations from HR practitioners and recruiters. The upgrade of main steelmaking equipment is the focus of this year's capital repair programme at Kamet-Steel. Repair works have begun on one of the key facilities – BOF No. 1. This year, following the company's objectives, primary attention is concentrated on upgrading energy equipment, particularly the BOF's gas exhaust duct, where a significant portion of equipment will be replaced with new components. This includes tuyeres and auxiliary caissons, the lower part of the main caisson (known as the "skirt"), and protective screens. Work on replacing components and parts of these units has already begun. As part of the capital repairs, the stator and rotor of the flue gas blower electric motor in the gas exhaust duct will also be replaced. These armoured vehicles are widely used on the frontlines and require adaptation to meet modern challenges, particularly threats from FPV drones.MT-LB is a lightweight tracked armoured vehicle actively used for transportation of personnel and as a platform for various weapon systems. However, its thin armour provides no protection against modern threats, making it these vehicles frequent targets for kamikaze drones. Thanks to systematic repairs, which took place in several stages in the pellet production shop No. 2, the workers of Northern GOK updated the LURGI 552A induration machine and roller screen.The function of the screen of raw pellets is to sift out and return to the cup pelletizer a small class of pellets. As part of the modernization last year, an upper deck was installed on the screen for screening out a large fraction of raw pellets, and the rollers of the upper deck were replaced with design ones, which made it possible to increase the average hourly productivity of the firing machine from 460 tons to 463 tons per hour.During the quarterly repair, which took place in April this year, instead of 25 rollers with a diameter of 150 mm, 41 were installed on the lower deck - with a smaller diameter of 89 mm.
