Zaporizhstal's Сold Rolling Shop Celebrates 87 Years of Operation

The Cold Rolling Shop is one of the key subdivisions of Zaporizhstal, where the final result of the entire production chain is generated. On the eve of the 87th anniversary, the shop operates in the usual wartime rhythm: production tasks are performed, quality is controlled at all stages and shipment of products to consumers is ensured.The shop includes 15 departments and sections, each of which is responsible for its own stage of production. In general, the shop provides a full cycle of cold-rolled steel processing: from pickling and rolling to heat treatment, skin passing, packaging and shipment.The basis of production is modern units, including the continuous pickling line BTA-4, designed according to European environmental standards and put into operation in 2014. Mariupol defender and Azov fighter Afendikov received a flat from Rinat Akhmetov after his return from captivity

Mariupol defender Oleksandr ‘Hrek’ Afendikov has received a flat from Rinat Akhmetov, President of FC Shakhtar. Over the past three years, 321 flats have been provided to Mariupol defenders by Rinat Akhmetov. Oleksandr Afendikov, call sign ‘Hrek’, is originally from Donetsk Oblast. Prior to the war, he was an active supporter of FC Shakhtar and was involved in the organised fan movement. He faced the full‑scale invasion while serving as a grenadier in what was then the Azov Special Operations Detachment (now the 12th Azov Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine). In Mariupol, he was directly engaged in combat operations. On 18 May 2022, the defender of Mariupol was taken into captivity and spent the entire period in Olenivka. After his release from captivity, Oleksandr Afendikov underwent rehabilitation and returned to active duty, continuing his service with the 12th Azov Brigade. Stanislav Biriuchynskyi knows well what it means to lose your home because of the war. And that is why today, in the army, he is doing everything not to allow it to be lost again. His story begins in Luhansk, the city where he was born, grew up and got his first profession as a builder. His parents lived there, and there were plans for life.
