75th anniversary of the Honoured Metallurgist – a veteran from Zaporizhzhia accepted congratulations

Zaporizhstal veteran Valerii Kosarev devoted 30 years to work at the plant.

The traditions of selfless work and love for the "hot" profession live on at Zaporizhstal and have been passed down from generation to generation for 90 years. This long-term history was written, in particular, by veterans of the plant, who are now on a well-deserved rest. However, they are respected even now and people always find the opportunity to visit them. Recently, the metallurgists of the plant visited Valerii Kosarev to congratulate him on his honorary anniversary.

"For 30 years, side by side with your colleagues, you tamed the element of fiery steel, shaping it and improving its quality. You instilled love and respect for the profession in the younger generation of your students, along with enthusiasm, true endurance and hardening. You have written your name in golden letters in the history of Zaporizhstal and gained respect and recognition among colleagues, students and managers. Thank you for your professionalism, patience and hard work!" Andrii KRYVTSOV, Production Director of Zaporizhstal, congratulated the veteran.

Valerii worked at the plant as a steel-casting operator in the steelmaking shop. He devoted 30 years to this business. Now he often recalls those times, flipping through the pages of old newspapers in which they wrote about his career.

"I come from a dynasty of metallurgists, my parents also worked at Zaporizhstal. I began my career path as an assistant of a steel-casting operator, then gained experience, became a steel-casting operator. I have taught a lot of people this business," says Valerii.

The veteran often recalls his work at Zaporizhstal and keeps in touch with his colleagues. He says that being a metallurgist is honourable and responsible. Valerii is convinced: Zaporizhstal workers are special people. Indomitable, hard-working, reliable.

"I have always felt proud of my profession, because I am involved in such a great business – steel manufacture. It is needed at all times and in all places. The country's economy is based on large-scale production both 30 years ago and now. Therefore, of course, I wish endurance to the young generation of metallurgists, quick Victory and development of the plant," the veteran added.
