Representatives of Metinvest, Petrivka Village Council and NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation of the Future" signed a memorandum of cooperation. This document confirmed further cooperation and areas of community development.
Metinvest has been a reliable partner of the Petrivka territorial community for many years. Currently, it has about 20 thousand residents. Before the start of the full-scale war, joint work had been aimed at developing the infrastructure of the Petrivka region. Now the priority is the implementation of security projects.
"Metinvest Consolidated Iron Ore continues to help the communities of Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions. We enshrined our intentions to support the Petrivska community in an annual memorandum of cooperation. We accept the new reality and understand which projects are relevant to us. While the war is going on, the top priority is security, it is the comfort of residents, their families and children. Therefore, we decided this year to direct efforts to equip a shelter in the Novostarodub preschool education institution and replace the roof of the building," said Igor TONEV, Iron Ore Enrichment Works General Director.

"Support for educators and doctors, development of cultural and sports areas, development of settlements – that was the case before the war. Currently, the vector of joint work has changed significantly," says Head of the Petrivka Village Council Svitlana TYLYK. She emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation in difficult times for the country.
"Previously, we worked with Metinvest and together implemented wonderful projects, such as repairs of kindergartens, reconstruction and reequipment of the hospital, a lot of work was done in the improvement of the territory. But today, the first thing we have to think about is safety, and therefore we are making shelters. After all, no preschool or school institution can work without this," said Head of the Petrivka Village Council Svitlana Tylyk.
Last year, the overhaul of the shelter, which is located in the basement of the Petrivka Lyceum, began on the territory of the community. After the completion of the work, about 650 students, teachers and technical staff of the institution will be able to stay there at the same time. The next step is repair work and arrangement of other facilities, in particular, in the kindergarten "Bell" in the village of Novyi Starodub. As in previous years, the NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation of the Future" will act as a link between the partners and the coordinator of the work.
