Employees of Metinvest's enterprises in Zaporizhzhia receive food and hygiene kits from Saving Lives

Families of steel makers in Zaporizhzhia are being assisted under the Saving Lives project implemented by Metinvest Group in coordination with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Metinvest Group, in coordination with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, has launched the Saving Lives project. It aims to support IDPs, residents of the territories where active hostilities are taking place and residents of the frontline regions. Families of Metinvest employees also receive humanitarian aid from the Saving Lives project. Food and hygiene kits are distributed to employees involved in the production process, families of mobilized, killed or seriously injured employees and employees on maternity leave.

Food and hygiene products are purchased in Europe or provided to the Saving Lives project by partner companies. The food kits include the most necessary products: flour, cereals, sugar, pasta, sunflower oil, condensed milk and canned food. Hygiene kits include shampoo, soap, toothpaste and brushes, other personal hygiene items.

- All food and hygiene items that we receive are necessary in the household. Such assistance is  a significant support for families, for which we are very grateful. Especially now, given the prices in shops. Receiving these kits, we can save on the most necessary food products,– Igor KENEV, control panel operator of the cold rolling shop at Zaporizhstal, said

Some of the aid recipients make stocks, which is also very important during the war and blackouts.

– This is a very important assistance. I make small stocks from it. You never know what the situation will be like. This makes me feel more confident in the future, – Dmytro STOYCHEV, loader of thermal furnaces of the Cold Rolling Shop at Zaporizhstal, said.

In total, employees of Metinvest's enterprises in Zaporizhzhia received more than 38 thousand food and hygiene kits. Almost 13 thousand employees and their family members received them
