Employees of Metinvest's Enterprises in Zaporizhzhia to Receive Cash Payments for Restoration of Damaged Homes

Metinvest enterprises in Zaporizhzhia continues to implement a programme to support employees whose homes were damaged as a result of hostile attacks. To date, the amount of financial support provided has exceeded UAH 3 million.

The programme of housing restoration, damaged after enemy shelling, for teams of Zaporizhstal, Zaporozhogneupor, Zaporizhcoke, and Zaporizhzhia Casting and Mechanical Plant has been in place since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Enterprises' hotline operates, allowing employees to request assistance. Depending on the extent of damage to their homes, employees may receive financial support for repairs. Those in need of temporary accommodation can stay at Metinvest's social facilities in Zaporizhzhia while their homes are being repaired.

As a part of the programme, over 100 houses of Metinvest's employees in Zaporizhzhia were restored. Among them is Dmytro Petrachenko, press operator of alumina silicate shop at Zaporozhogneupor. His house was damaged in the first enemy attack on the city with guided bombs.

"About the bombing of my district and my house, I found out by phone during my shift at the plant. I was shocked when I saw the consequences: every window was damaged. It happened because the bomb exploded not far away. I asked to leave the shift early to put everything in order. After that, I submitted a request for help," recalls Dmytro PETRACHENKO.

Utility services provided OSB sheets to board up the windows, while Metinvest provided financial support.

"I am grateful to our enterprise and Metinvest for their immediate help. It feels like strong support during a difficult time. The cash I received covered part of my expenses for urgent repairs. The most important thing is that all the windows are in place. This will help us avoid freezing during the winter," notes Dmytro.

Amid the full-scale war, Metinvest Group remains one of the largest employers and taxpayers in Ukraine. The Company is doing everything it can to retain its workforce and help people get through the difficult times.
