Most of the graduates are employees of Metinvest’s enterprises planning to further develop in the profession and advance their careers while remaining a reliable pillar of Ukraine.

Oleksandr POVAZHNIY, rector of Metinvest Polytechnic, said: “During your diploma defence, you distinguished yourself with your expertise in various industries, and the diversity and depth of knowledge demonstrated in your projects has impressed both the academic and business communities. I am sure this is just the beginning. New career opportunities are ahead of you. Choose what you like, whether to grow in business or science. I would also like to invite you to our postgraduate studies. We are always open to cooperation and ready to support all your endeavours.”

The students attended more than 200 lectures, over 500 practical and offline sessions, and more than 200 hours of workshops at Metinvest’s enterprises in Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih during their studies.

Oksen LISOVYI, Ukraine’s minister of education and science, said: “Amid the war, engineering education is essential for the revival of Ukraine’s economy and industry. The key tasks facing higher education today are to increase the number of specialists and prepare them for the real needs of the economy. Such specialised universities with a focus on engineering and technological areas are particularly important for mining and metals enterprises and should become the basis for overcoming the personnel shortage as well as a driver for the development of Ukrainian industry and science.”

Metinvest Polytechnic is the university of the future, offering broad new opportunities for young people and using modern digital systems and platforms in education. Metinvest Group established the university in June 2020 and the first students were enrolled in 2022. The project’s key goal is to create European-level higher education in Ukraine. The people studying at the university have chosen technical professions that are in demand in the labour market. Metinvest Group guarantees a first job and career growth for the top students, in addition to financial and other incentives. The second admissions round is currently in progress.
