Two thermal imagery scopes have been handed over to a special forces battalion as part of Rinat Akhmetov's military initiative, Steel Front.
Metinvest Group has been systematically supporting Ukraine's defenders since the first days of the full-scale invasion and has been providing the Ukrainian army with the most modern equipment.
Recently, fighters of the special forces battalion of the National Police have received thermal imaging devices, which come courtesy of Rinat Akhmetov's military initiative, Steel Front. The Dahua Thermal Scope c435 allows detecting the thermal radiation emanating from objects at night. And thanks to an 8x zoom, one can see in detail objects that may be invisible to the normal eye at a distance of up to 2 km. The equipment allows recording video, taking screenshots, tracking hot spots, measuring distance, etc.
According to the defenders, such equipment makes the job of the units significantly easier and helps bring victory closer.
"In the current conditions of a full-scale war, we extremely need such equipment to perform combat missions effectively. Today we have received two such thermal imagers. I am confident that they will help us defend Ukraine. We thank Metinvest for its assistance," said the commander of the special forces battalion of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia region, aka "Skelia".
In total, Metinvest has allocated over UAH 1.8 billion in assistance to the Ukrainian army as part of Rinat Akhmetov's military initiative, Steel Front.
