Specialists in rolling production at the plant, which is headed by Oleksandr Oleinyk, together with colleagues from the Technical Board and Calibration Bureau, calculated the technological parameters for making high-quality products in accordance with state standards. Notably, the enterprise’s new modern HiLINE stand, which was recently installed in the section rolling mill area, was used to adjust the roller guide.
Commenting on the news, Roman Linchenko, deputy head of the rolling mill shop, said: “Launching new types of rolled steel is crucial for the reconstruction of Ukraine, in which Metinvest’s enterprises will play an active role. Expanding the range of high-quality and competitive products will make Kamet Steel’s operations more efficient. Rebar 36, which we have now launched, has the largest diameter among the corresponding profiles produced at the 400/200 rolling mill. We are moving forward and will continue to expand our product range to meet market demand. This latest achievement is the contribution of the rolling mill operators to our team effort and results.”
The new rebar has already undergone mechanical testing, which confirmed its compliance with state standards, and the first 770 tonnes are now ready for shipment to domestic customers.
