Ready for adventure and discovery? Then let’s explore the world aboard the Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. These expedition vessels offer everything to delight even the most discerning travelers. Built using steel from Metinvest Trametal, they have become the gems of the northern seas and can carry you in comfort all the way to Antarctica.
In 2022-2023, two twin ships were launched in Italy – Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit, both polar-class expedition vessels. They were built by Italian shipbuilder T. Mariotti and steel structure manufacturer Cimolai for the luxury cruise company Seabourn Cruise Line.
The Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit are compact cruise ships with reinforced hulls, allowing them to sail to the Arctic and Antarctica during the fall and summer seasons. They are equipped with state-of-the-art systems and technologies. Each vessel carries two submarines that can accommodate six passengers and a captain, 24 Zodiac inflatable boats for short sea excursions and shore landings, kayaks, and a team of expert guides ready to help guests explore wildlife up close.
FACT
Construction of the Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit required 10,000 tonnes of hot-rolled plate from Metinvest Trametal

These ships are relatively compact, measuring 172 meters in length and 24 meters in width. Each can accommodate 260 passengers and 120 crew members in 132 suites – most of them featuring separate living and sleeping areas, with some designed as two-level suites.
Each vessel features 10 decks, 8 of which are accessible to guests. Despite being classified as expedition vessels, they are true cruise ships, equipped for maximum comfort: restaurants and bars, a wellness area with a fitness center, aerobics room, beauty salon, sauna, spa pool, treatment rooms for massages, an open-air aft pool, outdoor hot tubs, and several boutiques and shops.
Today, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit actively sail the northern seas, offering guests voyages to remote and wild destinations.
T. Mariotti and Cimolai have a long-standing partnership with Metinvest. As with several other vessels, the polar-class expedition ships Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit are built using hot-rolled plate produced by Metinvest Trametal.
