Recently, an intellectual competition was held for the youth of Metinvest Integrated Iron Ore. The venue for the event was the youth hub of Central Iron Ore. All the quiz's questions and tasks were dedicated to Ukraine: history, music, symbols, people, and places — everything that shapes our identity.
It featured various activities such as guessing Ukraine's regions from their coats of arms or cities from songs. Participants also had to figure out popular songs recreated be an AI. There was a "Truth or Myth" section and a classic Question-Answer round. These and other tricky challenges were faced by 35 young employees of the enterprises. After forming teams, the youngsters were able to take a break from their daily work routine and troubling news feeds for three hours, in order to test their knowledge about the Motherland and learn something new and interesting from our nation's historical and cultural legacy.
The participants of the intellectual contest cleverly, enthusiastically, and energetically went through round after round." Some tasks were particularly challenging, but the participants handled them perfectly.
Illia SHOSTOV, leader of Central Iron Ore's youth hub and host of many events, organised the quiz. He said:
"The quiz is not only about knowledge, but also about teamwork. Both in production and in games, joint efforts are very important. Everyone had a chance to shine in their field of knowledge. In the end, knowledge, humour, and collective synergy won, as always. I am sure that all participants received their portion of unforgettable experiences and became even closer as friends. Such quiz games are our good tradition, which perfectly brings together youth – an important part of our enterprises' teams."
The event participants also shared their impressions.

"It is not just a quiz, but a true celebration of unity, humour, and patriotism," said Ivan POTEBNIA, a specialist in mine repair at the mine named after Kolachevskyi at Central Iron Ore. "It is a wonderful to see how youth from different enterprises unite, support each other, and just enjoy the moment. This informal communication is very important, because new ideas emerge here, people make friends here, and even start joint projects. It was nice to see everyone! The event was very fun, atmospheric, and most importantly, we felt that even in challenging times we can be together, supporting each other and filling ourselves with positivity."


"Ukraine is much more than just a map. The quiz's tasks made us think about various questions from our nation's history and culture. We did not just test our knowledge, but also met new people," said Mariia SERHEIEVA, an electrical fitter on duty and responsible for equipment repair at Ingulets Iron Ore's open-pit mine shop. "This was my first time attending such a youth event, and to be honest, I am impressed by the atmosphere. It inspires and energises. Thanks to the youth leaders and organisers for the opportunity to come together, chat, rest, and learn something new. All of us received a lot of positive emotions!"
"'Everything will be Ukraine' is exactly the format that young people need now," said Taras CHERVONYI, an electrical fitter on duty and responsible for equipment repair at Northern Iron Ore's open-pit mine and dumps (Maintenance Shop No. 2). "It was interesting, dynamic, humorous, and at the same time had deep meaning. Such events help not only to take our minds off things and spend our leisure time in a fun and useful way, but also to feel like part of a large team. Thanks for the event, for your support of youth movement, and for inspiration and faith."
The next quiz is planned to be held soon for war veterans who returned after their service to work at Metinvest's enterprises in Kryvyi Rih.
