Young employees of MBS were rewarded with a trip to the festival in Lviv. Our colleagues spent an exciting weekend in the pearl of Western Ukraine, which in 2025 was awarded the title of the European Youth Capital, and the city hosted numerous events to celebrate the occasion.
In mid-August, Lviv gathered hundreds of young Ukrainians to connect and relax. Educational lectures and workshops, forums and concerts, themed street activities, sports competitions, open dialogues, and spaces for meetings and inspiration were organised for them.
The events included both entertainment and meaningful, value-driven activities aimed at uniting the youth community for the future. In particular, a ceremonial unveiling of a Youth Capital sculpture took place on Rynok Square. A joint Sunday prayer of unity under the open sky was held in the Metropolitan Gardens.
Metinvest Business Services sent four members of the company's youth organisation to participate in the events: Olena Buhaichuk, Lead HR Specialist of the Recruitment and Development Group; Inna Shyshka, Lead Specialist of the Administrative Contracts and Document Management Group; Anastasiia Kostyshen, Lead HR Specialist; and Daria Shchur, Assistant to the General Director's Office. Throughout the year, these ladies have been active participants in various initiatives, including volunteering, sports competitions, and other youth activities.

A central theme of many events was the war and its effects on society, particularly on Ukrainian youth. Several fundraising campaigns were held in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including one aimed at raising one million hryvnias to purchase drones to counter Shahed drone attacks.
“Our weekend was incredibly intense: both exciting and useful! The organisers prepared five large locations to host the festival. Everything felt authentic and atmospheric. History, culture, and creativity – everything intertwined organically. At the educational locations, we gained new insights, including on child education and the management of various events, particularly charity and volunteer initiatives. At the Shevchenkivskyi Hai, we visited an exhibition of young artists. We also joined a speed-friending session with youth and representatives of local authorities. There was no chance to get bored, with numerous interactive activities happening around us and energetic DJ sets filling the air. On the main stage, we watched performances by modern artists. Attending the first youth liturgy in the Metropolitan Gardens was particularly memorable and provided an exceptionally profound spiritual experience. I'm confident this Youth Day trip to Lviv left lasting memories for me and my colleagues. We are grateful to MBS for the opportunity to immerse ourselves in such a captivating and meaningful world,” said Inna SHYSHKA.
