Metinvest Polytechnic University attended the Job Fair 2024 in Kryvyi Rih

The traditional Job Fair was held in Kryvyi Rih. During the week-long event, pupils in grades 9-11 had the opportunity to learn about educational and career prospects, admission requirements, and study programmes offered. As part of the admission campaign, Metinvest Polytechnic was represented at the location by lecturers of popular engineering and technical fields.

The pupils in grades 9-11 who attended the Job Fair 2024 were nearly interested in the admission requirements and benefits of studying at a mining and metallurgical university, including the prospect of employment at Metinvest's enterprises, internships on state-of-the-art equipment, training with qualified lecturers, attractive payment terms, flexible study schedule with the ability to combine higher education with work, as well as scholarship and grant programmes.

During the week, the pupils who attended the event had the opportunity to communicate with Metinvest Polytechnic lecturers, who told them not only about the admission requirements, but also about the details of the educational process in certain areas, in particular, mining, automation, metallurgy, environmental protection and labour safety, computer technology, as well as the new educational programme "Surveying support for the development of mineral deposits".

"Surveying specialists are in high demand. During the event, we told the pupils and their parents about the benefits of the profession and the interesting universe of mining, because choosing surveying today is a way to a successful future. This is a new direction at our university, which opens up guaranteed prospects for young people, as the need for mining and the introduction of new mining technologies is growing not only in Ukraine but also worldwide," said Hanna BRUY, the head of the new programme at Metinvest Polytechnic.

Maksym SHTODA, the head of the Modern Rolling Technologies educational programme, told about the university's metallurgical areas and added: "Metinvest is the largest mining and steel company in Ukraine, which not only remains the pillar of Ukraine, but also clearly understands the demand of the present and the need for highly qualified specialists in technical specialities. All educational programmes at Metinvest Polytechnic were reviewed by business experts. Therefore, we provide our students with only practical knowledge that will allow them to work effectively in the workplace and grow their careers from day one."

The pupils also learned about educational programmes in business analytics and business management, IT and energy-efficient technologies, production automation, as well as equally promising areas of environmental protection and labour safety. This year the university is inviting applicants for 16 bachelor's and 18 master's degree programmes and is also opening a postgraduate programme.

The event ended with a prize draw where Anastasia OLIINYK, a student of the DUET College, received a certificate for free education in a bachelor's degree programme of her choice from Metinvest Polytechnic.

– The question of further education became acute for me. I couldn't make up my mind, but decided to take part in your draw, and after winning, I firmly decided to go further in the economic area. So, of course, I am going to use the certificate, and I will most likely choose the Business Analytics educational programme, – the winner of the draw said.

In total, over 40 vocational, professional and higher education institutions and business representatives took part in the city's career guidance event for young people. The fair lasted for five days, during which more than 5,000 students visited the locations.
