As part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front military initiative, the 39th Separate Coastal Defence Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy has received a tractor for fortifying positions and an interactive table.
From the onset of the full-scale invasion to the present day, the fighters – formerly of the 126th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade and, since February 2025, reformed into the 39th Separate Coastal Defence Brigade within the 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy – have been relentlessly driving the occupiers from Ukrainian soil. In the fiercest battles in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, the brigade repelled enemy assaults; today, its soldiers continue to resist and exert pressure on the invading forces.
Recently, the troops received another tranche of aid from Metinvest – following a request from the military, the company delivered a multipurpose tractor.
“We’ll use the tractor to prepare positions along the first and second lines of defence. It’s a crucial part of warfare – preparation, so the enemy doesn’t catch you off guard. That’s why we’re always getting ready. Fortifying our own positions is just as vital a part of preparation as training personnel – there’s no room for trivialities here,” notes a servicemember of the 39th Separate Coastal Defence Brigade, 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy, known by the callsign “KRYUGER.”

Metinvest specialists carried out a comprehensive technical inspection of the tractor and adapted it for operations near the front line. In addition to the tractor, under the Steel Front initiative, the marines received an interactive touchscreen table essential for rapid operational planning. This time, Metinvest provided the brigade with aid worth nearly UAH three mln.

“Such technologies are not being used for the first time by Ukraine’s Armed Forces: neighbouring units we coordinate and work with also use such tables. It’s genuinely a powerful form of support that will enhance the unit’s overall performance and allow it to respond more swiftly to challenges on the battlefield. Metinvest’s support for our brigade is nothing new – and it’s always timely aid, tailored precisely to the unit’s needs. Of course, that’s incredibly important – we’re joining forces for Ukraine’s shared victory. Together, we are strong,” affirms “KRYUGER”.
Since the start of the full-scale war, Metinvest has allocated UAH 9.72 bln support the state and its citizens, including UAH 5.2 bln for the needs of the military under Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front initiative.
