Maneuverable and fast: Metinvest handed over buggies and motorcycles to the National Guard

As part of the Steel Front military initiative of Rinat Akhmetov, Metinvest handed over light equipment – buggies and five motorcycles worth a total of about 2 million hryvnias to the fighters of the 15th operational brigade "Kara-Dag" of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Deputy brigade commander Oleksandr Ryasnyi emphasized that it is precisely such transport that is currently becoming increasingly in demand at the front.

"The enemy is increasingly using FPV drones, so the use of heavy armored vehicles is extremely complicated. On the other hand, buggies are fast, inconspicuous, and allow for effective performance of combat missions. We additionally equip them with protection, and they are used to deliver personnel, ammunition, support the work of drone pilots, and perform other tasks," Oleksandr RYASNYI notes.

In addition to the buggies, the National Guardsmen also received motorcycles, which will help them move even faster on the front line.

“Motorcycles are what is especially necessary now for operational movement and unobtrusive work on the battlefield. They allow us to deliver provisions, ammunition and personnel in the shortest possible time,” said the deputy commander of the brigade, Yevstahiy MOSPAN.

The military assures that the support from Metinvest is systematic. The brigade has repeatedly received drones, buggies, steel shelters- “hiding shelters” and much more to perform tasks in the combat zone.

“The company always responds quickly and clearly to our needs. This is extremely important support that helps us not only perform combat missions, but also save lives. At the same time, it encourages the fighters, because they feel strong support from the rear. I thank Metinvest and the Steel Front for their help,” concluded Yevstahiy Mospan.

Metinvest's support for Kara-Dag and other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is systemic. Since the start of the full-scale invasion within the Steel Front, the company has provided assistance to the army worth over 5 billion hryvnias.
