Metinvest Donates Medical Equipment to Myrnograd Hospital

In the conditions of the full-scale war, Ukrainian doctors are working with a double workload. Unfortunately, not only the sick but also wounded civilians often need their help. Especially in the frontline regions.

This is not the first time Metinvest Group has provided aid to Myrnograd City Hospital. To address the needs of doctors, the company's management made a preliminary request. Thus, the list of medical equipment was compiled to consider the needs, which will significantly improve the range of services provided to people in the future.

"‘We are very grateful to Metinvest for the assistance provided. It is extremely important for our hospital. We are grateful that in difficult times you have once again found an opportunity to support the medical institution. With the new equipment, we will be able to expand the range of surgical operations. The surgical department is currently one of the most powerful in the region. About a thousand operations are performed here a year," said Olha HOSTEVA, director of Myrnohrad Central City Hospital.

The list of necessary equipment consists of several dozen items, including a laparoscopic stack. It will be useful for doctors, as patients come to the surgical department not only from Donetsk region but also from other regions of Ukraine.

"I have been communicating with the head of the department for a long time," says Iryna, who came for surgery from Sinelnikovskyi district. "Serhii Fedorovych is a very good specialist, so I decided to entrust my health to him. I wanted to see him for a consultation because I had heard only positive feedback.

Serhii Popivnenko is known even in the capital." Another patient came to Myrnohrad from Kyiv to undergo surgery at the local hospital. Even the proximity to the front line did not stop her.

"Unfortunately, since the beginning of the war, mine-blast injuries have been added to the chronic diseases. There are a lot of such cases now, which complicates the work of surgeons. However, despite the lack of nurses and junior medical staff in the department, we are overcoming all obstacles. And Metinvest's support helps a lot," says Serhii POPIVNENKO, head of the surgical department.

"In the face of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest transformed its business in time and set up logistics to maintain key production facilities. Most importantly, it retained its staff. Thanks to these factors, we are able to implement social projects," added Mykola VYSGHNEVSKYI, Director of Vuglepromtrans, LLC.
