Metinvest is completing the transformation and centralisation of its service function in line with the Group’s business strategy to enhance asset efficiency. In 2023, the Group’s repair enterprises located in Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske were integrated into the production and administrative processes of the Zaporizhia Casting and Mechanical Works (ZLMZ). As of 1 December 2025, all of the capacity, expertise and experience of these enterprises have been consolidated under the operational management of Metinvest Machinery, a structure that reflects both the specialisation and the scale of the company’s activities.
The foundation of Metinvest Machinery is one of the Group’s youngest enterprises – the Zaporizhia Casting and Mechanical Works. The enterprise was established in 2016 on the basis of the mechanical, casting and metal structures shops of Zaporizhstal. In 2023, the plant expanded its production base through the integration of the Kryvyi Rih Machining and Repair Plant, enabling closer coordination of operational activities and significantly strengthening the combined production capacity.
“ZLMZ has expanded into a multi-disciplinary repair and mechanical enterprise with sites in Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske. We have strengthened the synergy between our industrial facilities and human capital, improved operational and managerial efficiency, and enhanced our expertise and presence within the sector. We transformed the enterprises and teams to preserve them and to secure employment for 3,000 people in the industry – both during the war and afterwards,” Metinvest Group’s Chief Operating Officer, Oleksandr MYRONENKO, emphasised.
“The teams from the repair enterprises will continue their work in full within Metinvest Machinery: salary levels, motivation and bonus systems, social benefits and other guarantees will remain stable and unchanged.”
“The plant’s core operations also remain unchanged: Metinvest Machinery specialises in equipment repair and the production of a wide range of replacement parts for metallurgical, coke-chemical and mining equipment, as well as in the machining and manufacture of metal structures of varying complexity and providing technical support services. The enterprise has an extensive network of key units in Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske, enabling it to fulfil orders for the Group’s production sites in these regions – as well as for external industry clients – promptly and cost-effectively.”
