The Petrivka community now has a warm, cosy, and comfortable shelter, capable of accommodating up to 700 students and teachers at the same time. This critically important project, which helps children receive education in safe conditions, was implemented with the support of Metinvest Iron Ore Plants under a memorandum of cooperation.
An effective and productive partnership has, for many years, brought together Metinvest, the Petrivka Village Council in Kirovohrad region, and the public organisation "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future." Together, they have implemented a number of infrastructure and social projects of vital importance to local residents. During the full-scale war, the partners redirected their cooperation priorities towards improving living conditions and enhancing the level of safety for community residents and those who have found shelter in the community.

"Last year, the majority of communities with which we signed the memoranda of cooperation focused on addressing safety issues and improving living conditions, primarily in educational institutions. At all times, the younger generation must have access to quality education, while their parents and teachers must be confident that children are provided with comfort and protection. One of the largest projects in this area has been the creation and equipping of a shelter at the largest educational institution in the Petrivka community," said Olena LESHCHENKO, the Director of the NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future."
