Metinvest Digital shared its expertise in the implementation of AI with the specialists of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation

"If you still do not work with AI, it's time to start, because without it, your competitiveness will decline rapidly," said Maksym Balaniuk, Head of the R&D Center of Metinvest Digital, during the training for specialists of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

As a Ukrainian IT company specializing in digital transformation, Metinvest Digital implements technologies based on artificial intelligence. In particular, at Metinvest Group's enterprises, AI is used to automate business processes, control product quality, and in the field of occupational health and safety. Some of the implemented solutions can be applied not only in industry. Therefore, Metinvest Digital shares its expertise with companies operating in various fields.

"After looking at our experience in implementing AI in metallurgy, we analysed what we can offer the market. This year, we began to cooperate with other large businesses, in particular with the leaders of the markets of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, retail and even furniture production," said Maksym BALANIUK, Head of the R&D Center at Metinvest Digital.

Among those interested in the topic of AI is the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, for whose specialists Metinvest Digital conducted a training. Maksym Balaniuk spoke about the history of the emergence and development of AI technology, how AI technology works and how it differs from the human brain, as well as what opportunities artificial intelligence provides to people and businesses.

We focused on Metinvest Digital solutions, in particular MyOCR (Intelligent Document Processing System), SPAIS (Unified Solution for Computer Vision Systems) and corporate translator, which were of the greatest interest to the training participants in terms of implementation.

"Despite the fact that SPAIS is not a completely relevant solution for the Foundation, they were delighted with the level of technological solutions we make at Metinvest," added Maksym Balaniuk.

In addition to the "theoretical" part, they talked about how the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation can use AI in its work.

"We understand that in the modern world, working with artificial intelligence is not the future, it is a need of the present. It was important for us to get information from a company that already has a successful track record of implementing AI solutions. Metinvest Digital does not have specific cases, but applies a systematic approach to managing the company's performance with a measurable financial effect in various areas: production, data management, optimization of business processes in finance, accounting, HR, etc.," said Oksana YAGODKA, Head of Human Resources of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

According to her, from the point of view of implementation, the Foundation's specialists were interested in several solutions. Among them are the intelligent AI support system Service Desk, which automates the processing of user requests, as well as the myOCR document processing platform. In particular, translation and format changes have the potential to simplify the process of processing information for the Museum of Civilian Voices of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the largest collection of the history of civilians affected by the war in Ukraine.
