Small all-terrain vehicle for frontline: Metinvest donates buggy for soldiers in Zaporizhzhia sector

Metinvest donated the fast and manoeuvrable vehicle as part of its Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion and to the present day, Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative has been providing comprehensive assistance to Ukrainian soldiers defending our country at the frontline. Metinvest has already spent over UAH 3.4 billion for this purpose.

Recently, as part of the initiative, the soldiers of the 15th National Guard Brigade, who are defending Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia sector, received an all-terrain buggy worth over UAH 1.2 million.

"This time, soldiers from the Zaporizhzhia sector asked the Steel Front for help. We responded quickly and purchased a new buggy vehicle for the military to meet the required specifications. These are multifunctional, fast and manoeuvrable vehicles that are quite easy to maintain. They have perfect cross-country ability on dirt roads. now they are an indispensable tool for our defenders to perform combat missions. We unite and work for the sake of the victory!" said Yevgen AVDZHI, Procurement Director of Zaporizhstal.

Armies of many countries around the world are using these vehicles quite actively, as they have proven to be light, low-profile and fast vehicles in all their parameters. From delivering cargo to the front line to performing reconnaissance missions, this is the wide range of buggies used at the front.  According to the soldiers themselves, this is a small all-terrain vehicle that will help them perform tasks quickly and efficiently.

"The main advantages of buggy are its invisibility and speed. They can get to places where an ordinary all-terrain vehicle or armoured vehicle cannot go. Thanks to these vehicles, our personnel can quickly deliver ammunition and medical supplies, take the wounded from the battlefield, and quickly rotate to our observation posts. This is the support we need, and we are grateful that Steel Front is helping us," said Yevstafii MOSPAN, deputy brigade commander for personnel.

As part of the Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative, the defenders of Ukraine receive vehicles, protective gear and modern equipment such as drones, thermal imagers and other equipment needed to defend Ukraine.
