In 2016, with a new diploma from the Faculty of “Railway Transportation Process Management,” Nastia came to production for the first time. She began her internship at the Northern railway station which has the same name as the GOK. The work of a station duty operator is extremely responsible and requires a person to have logical thinking, vigilance and self-control. Immediately after the university classroom, it was difficult for the girl to manage many processes at the same time, and mentors helped her gain experience.
But among her colleagues who worked at the railway there was one impudent assistant of traction unit operator, Yaroslav, who could sometimes reproach the girl, saying that she had chosen the wrong profession. But after a short time, clever Anatasiia was able to drive the rolling stock skilfully and became the soul of the station. The picky guy saw that and decided to take a decisive step.
"Once he met me and offered to take a walk together. At first, I was surprised. I remembered his offensive words, but he apologised and said that I was great and could do everything. Although at first I didn’t have high hopes for Yaroslav, I was single and agreed. Since then, we've been a couple. There was a period of dating, but we've been living together for two years now," Anastasiia shares.
After the relationship began, it turned out that young people studied at the same university in Kharkiv and at the same time. The only thing, Nastia studied full-time, and Yaroslav – on extramural basis. However, we never met. Apparently fate deliberately did not bring them together earlier to arrange a test of feelings later: from mutual dislike to love. Now they are always together – at home, at work, in the gym. By the way, Yaroslav does arm wrestling, while Nastia keeps fit on gym machines, and also sings and dances at the Northern Palace of Culture.
The young people are also the activists in the youth organisation at Northern GOK. They say that from the beginning of the war, their team immediately joined in collecting necessary things for the military and needy civilians, weaving nets, producing trench candles, and organising charity events. Now Yaroslav, who is an experienced blood donor, plans to work on expanding the donor movement at the plant. Anastasiia says that the youth team also planned to hold a race in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the involvement of more colleagues and residents of the housing estate. The young people are optimistic, dreaming of the end of the war, and after it, according to the girl, they can think about marriage.
