Zaporizhstal's employees handed over restored vehicles to the frontline

Metinvest's enterprises in Zaporizhzhia continue to help the military as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative by repairing heavy equipment and vehicles.

Thus, Zaporizhstal's employee at the overhaul and repair depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have restored several large vehicles – one MAZ and two KamAZ trucks - and have already handed them over to our defenders.

"We have done a fairly large amount of work, involving many people. We repaired the sides, chassis, and trailer. Now there is a problem with spare parts, it is difficult to find them for these vehicles. However, we are trying to find ways to solve these problems. We are doing everything to help Ukrainian soldiers," said Mykhailo OVECHKO, Acting Head of Road Transport Department on Operation and Maintenance at Zaporizhstal.

The military say that such large vehicles are indispensable at the frontline. They are used to perform a variety of tasks, so such assistance is very important for them.

"In general, we don't have enough of this kind of equipment, it is always needed. We will use these vehicles to deliver fuel, supplies, food, and equipment. We thank workers for their assistance and support. Together we will definitely win," said Illia KOROLIUK, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It should be noted that since the start of the full-scale war, the Steel Front has already delivered more than 1,100 vehicles of various types to the frontline, including off-roaders, ambulances and more.
