Regional and local authorities organised a week of interesting events – intellectual games, seminars, sports and team-building events, for the young generation of the Zaporizhzhia region.
Moreover, representatives from regional and local administrations recognised the most active young leaders of the Zaporizhzhia region for their significant contribution to the development of public initiatives, education, volunteering, sports, and culture.
In particular, the deputy head of the Zaporizhzhia Region State Administration, Mykhailo Semikin, and the deputy mayor, Ella Slepian, congratulated the young people.
"Young people are those who have the boldest dreams. They have the most powerful energy and the greatest craving for changes. This very energy and this inspiration to create new things are the driving force for transformations that take place today in Zaporizhzhia and all over Ukraine. It is young people who will build our future, our country, and our unbreakable city, which will become the best on Earth," stated Ella SLEPIAN.

Zaporizhstal employees also joined the youth activities. The enterprise's young team took second place in the quiz game and demonstrated their proficiency in sports. In addition, an Honorary Certificate was presented to Oleksandr Butkevych, head of the ultrasonic testing area.
The employee puts a lot of effort into volunteering with the company's support, helping civilians and the army, and maintaining contact with colleagues from other metallurgical enterprises and young students.
"It is a pleasure to be recognised. I think that each action of young people – their proposals, participation, and event organisation – develops our city, making it better. It is cool when this activity is noticed, especially during the war. I would like young people to receive more recognitions like this," said Oleksandr BUTKEVYCH.

The marathon concluded with the celebration of the International Day of Youth with a STEAM fair and a concert.
Overall, Zaporizhstal employs 2,217 young employees. The enterprise's young activists actively participate in the public life of Zaporizhzhia. Together with students and young industrial workers from other enterprises, they hold sports tournaments in volleyball, streetball, futsal, etc. Apart from sport, they do not forget about scientific, educational and cultural activities: intellectual games, scientific conferences, and startup competitions.
Another important area of activity for young people, which has gained particular significance during the great war, is charity. They support the Ukrainian army and civilians, and take part in donor campaigns.
