Siemens has provided Metinvest Polytechnic Technical University with another software suite to strengthen cooperation and support the Ukrainian education sector. Such digitalisation of higher engineering education enhances learning assisted by modern automation components.
Serhii Dvornyk, Director of the Digital Industry Department at Siemens, has handed over a software suite, including 40 programming licences for Simatic PLC and SCADA WinCC by Siemens AG, to Ukraine's first private mining and metals university. This software is critical to ensuring a high-quality learning process, allowing teachers to improve their teaching methods and students to acquire the necessary practical skills, even in blended learning environments.
The software will be used by teachers and students of the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Production Automation and the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy. The number of licences obtained allows launching the learning process simultaneously in several groups in a convenient virtual format.
