Zaporizhstal's management and colleagues congratulated the veteran on his birthday.
Recently, Ivan Vasyliovych Bedrosov, a veteran of Zaporizhstal, celebrated his 75th birthday. On this important day, according to a good tradition, Ivan Vasyliovych received congratulations from the Plant’s administration and colleagues with whom the veteran used to work side by side.
"The traditions of responsible and selfless labour have been alive at Zaporizhstal for many years. And this is the merit, in particular, of our veterans, who passed on their experience, knowledge and love of the profession to younger generations of steelmakers. We remember your guidance and thank you for your contribution to the development of the enterprise. On behalf of the entire staff of the plant, we congratulate you on your anniversary!" said Volodymyr RYBACHONOK, Head of Zaporizhstal's HR Department.
Back in 1972, Ivan Bedrosov came to the plant as a steelmaker's apprentice, right after graduating from college, and since then he has remained loyal to the steel business for almost 40 years.
"I started as a steelmaker's helper, just like everyone else. Later I became a steelmaker, and even later a foreman, a shift supervisor. I liked this profession. I can say that it hardened my character," recalls Ivan Vasyliovych.
For his years of work and dedication, Ivan Vasyliovych was awarded the title of Honoured Metallurgist of Ukraine, and rightly so. He knew all the stages of steelmaking perfectly and passed this knowledge on to the young generation. Now, in retirement, the veteran keeps in touch with his colleagues and fondly recalls his work at the plant.
"‘So much has happened in the 37 years I have been working at Zaporizhstal. There were challenges and downfalls, people changed, new metallurgists came, whom I trained. I have spent more than half of my life at the furnace, and I have never regretted it. I am pleased that the plant does not forget about me, supports me and congratulates me. In return, I wish Zaporizhstal peace and development! I am sure that Zaporizhstal employees will overcome all difficulties, because our metallurgists cannot do otherwise," added Ivan BEDROSOV.
