Soldiers in Zaporizhzhia Sector Receive Electronic Warfare Systems from Steel Front

The soldiers of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade received 10 electronic warfare systems worth one million hryvnias on behalf of Steel Front defence initiative.

"Modern warfare is a war of drones and technologies that help to effectively conduct combat operations and reduce the risk of irrecoverable losses in the army. Electronic warfare systems are designed for this very purpose – to disrupt the occupiers' plans, disable enemy drones and reduce their combat capability. But most importantly, they will help save the lives of Ukrainian defenders," said Ivan KOVALEVSKY, General Director of Metinvest Resources, after the equipment was delivered.

Soldiers of the 128th mountain assault brigade say they met the war in Zaporizhzhia sector. The guys have been dealing with enemy attacks day and night and are constantly destroying the occupiers.

The soldiers will install the received electronic warfare systems on their armoured vehicles. The electronic warfare equipment will ‘cover’ the defenders during combat missions. And they will definitely save many lives of brave defenders.

"When armoured vehicles go out to work, they become the number one target for the enemy, who can use not one or two kamikaze drones to destroy the vehicle. The EWSs we have received will protect the vehicles and human lives from enemy FPV drones. We continue to maintain a steady defence in this area. And it is very gratifying that initiatives such as Steel Front, help us in our fight and provide us with what we need to perform combat missions effectively," said a sergeant major of the tank battalion of the 128th SMAB with a call sign “Producer”.

It is worth noting that the number of tactical optics, electronic warfare and other equipment delivered to the defence of Ukraine as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative has already reached 6,000 units. The total amount donated by the businessman and his businesses to help the Ukrainian military and civilians is UAH 8 billion.
