Metinvest's enterprises in Zaporizhzhia transfer UAH 1.4 billion in taxes to the budget of Ukraine in the first half of 2024

In the first six months of 2024, Zaporizhstal, Zaporozhogneupor, Zaporizhcoke and Zaporizhzhia Casting and Mechanical Works paid a total of almost UAH 1.4 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels, up 44% year-on-year.

In the structure of taxes and duties for this period, the largest deductions were made as a single personal income tax and a single social security tax. Environmental, land and military taxes also accounted for a significant share of payments.

Metinvest Group's enterprises remain among the largest taxpayers in Zaporizhzhia: in the first half of this year, Metinvest's steelmakers paid almost UAH 500 million in taxes and fees to local budgets. In addition, the Company's enterprises are implementing socially important projects in the region to reintegrate war veterans and support their families, help vulnerable groups of people, eliminate the effects of shelling and restore destroyed infrastructure facilities, etc.

As a reminder, Metinvest Group, including associates and joint ventures,  increased its payments of taxes and duties to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine by 56% in 1H2024 compared to 1H2023 to UAH 9.9 billion. Amid the full-scale war, Metinvest remains a pillar of the country's economy.
