Central GOK has successfully passed the first supervisory audit and confirmed the compliance of the energy management system with the requirements of international standards.
Last month, the audit was conducted by the specialists of the state enterprise "Kryvbasstandartmetrologiya". The technical power supply shop, the slurry shop, and the network and substation shop were inspected. The auditors focused on checking the implementation of the energy management system and documentation in accordance with the international requirements of ISO 50001:2018 standard.
"The energy management system of Central GOK meets all international standards and ensures the systematic implementation of innovative energy-efficient technologies in the production processes of the plant to constantly reduce the energy intensity and cost of production of the enterprise," said Maxym STRILETS, Head of the Energy Management Department of Central GOK of Metinvest Group.
Following the results of a thorough audit, the auditors noted the systematic introduction of the latest energy-efficient technologies in the production processes of Central GOK and the consistent improvement of the energy management system. All this makes it possible to ensure high energy efficiency and a gradual reduction in the plant's operating costs.
