For the first half of 2024, Metinvest's consolidated GOK paid UAH 2.8 bln in taxes

In the first six months of this year, Metinvest's Northern, Central and Ingulets plants transferred UAH 2.8 bln to the state treasury and the city budget. For comparison, last year this amount was UAH 1.4 bln.

Despite the long-term war, economic difficulties and challenges of the time, Metinvest's Kryvyi Rih enterprises remain one of the largest taxpayers and a strong pillar of the region and Ukraine.

In the first half of 2024, among the main sources of filling the budget from Northern GOK, Central GOK and InGOK was the tax on the use of subsoil – UAH 1.7 bln. The treasury also received a single social contribution of nearly UAH 357 mln and personal income tax amounting to UAH 318 mln. Among the list of the largest contributions are also land fees and eco-tax.

Even during wartime, Kryvyi Rih enterprises remain the largest employers in the region, taking a responsible approach to managing their workforce, including veterans who are gradually returning to work. GOKs also continue to support Kryvyi Rih and its communities by implementing joint humanitarian, educational, and infrastructure projects.

Overall, in the first half of 2024, Metinvest Group increased its tax payments to the Ukrainian budget by one-and-a-half times, reaching UAH 10 bln. Amidst a full-scale war, this is a significant contribution to supporting Ukraine's economy. Meanwhile, the company continues to support the army and civilians, while planning for future involvement in the post-war reconstruction of the country.
