Lecturers of Metinvest Polytechnic Joined Civil Security Community

Metinvest Polytechnic's lecturers have joined the "Civil Security Community" public organisation. This inter-university community brings together specialists in the field of "Civil security". The initiative aims to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions to improve the quality of the educational process, conduct scientific research and create new opportunities for students and lecturers.

As part of the "Civil Security Community" activities, a meeting of representatives from leading Ukrainian universities was held: Kremenchuk National University named after Mikhail Ostrogradsky, National Technical University "Dnipro Polytechnic", Technical University "Metinvest Polytechnic", and National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine. During the discussion, participants outlined plans for joint activities aimed at enhancing educational programmes, deepening scientific research and organising experience-sharing events.

The main concept of this cooperation offers a unique opportunity for graduates of Metinvest Polytechnic to consult with specialists from various fields. They can receive recommendations from psychologists on providing first aid in emergencies, medical workers on first aid, emergency medicine, and tactical medicine, as well as experts in vehicle safety, emergency rescue, health and safety, law, explosion safety, mechanical engineering safety, energy safety (including backup power systems), and personal protective equipment. Additionally, through open communication, lecturers and community participants are ready to assist and introduce students to the features of working in different enterprises across various industries and regions, as well as help them choose their career paths.

Natalia VOLODCHENKOVA, Dean of Mining and Metallurgical Department and Guarantor of the Educational Programme "Labour Safety and Production Processes’ at Metinvest Polytechnic, shared her vision of the community joint work:

"For us, joining the "Civil Security Community" is not just about partnership; it is about creating an environment for professional and personal growth. Imagine the environment where students can consult with leading specialists, gain practical knowledge, and tackle real-life civil security cases. It is a chance to bridge theory and practice, making education more applicable. Together with our colleagues from other universities, we are creating a platform that will help our students not only become competitive job seekers in the labor market but also those who change the standards of the profession. When universities unite their efforts, both students and society benefit."

Initiatives like that are crucial for increasing the quality of education, strengthening connections between theory and practice, as well as for creating new opportunities for the development of both student and lecturers of Metinvest Polytechnic."
