Vending service at Kamet Steel – comfort and convenience for employees

Kamet Steel is implementing best practices to improve working conditions and staff comfort. New coffee and snack vending machines have been installed in the administration and amenity buildings of the production shops.

A total of eight coffee and four snack vending machines have been installed, offering a wide range of products: biscuits, sweets, crisps, fizzy drinks, etc. The first snack vending machine was installed in the administrative building of the BOF Shop, which offers hot dogs, vareniki and other portioned snacks to steelmakers.

The vending system at Kamet Steel was organised under an outsourcing agreement. When selecting an external partner, the enterprise assessed the company's reputation and proven positive track record, as well as the quality of the products, containers and packaging it offers to steelmakers. A positive Sanitary and Epidemiological Service conclusion and a certificate of conformity were also a prerequisite for cooperation. Under the terms of the contract, the vending machines will be filled with products, collected, serviced and repaired by the owners.

Feedback from the employees confirms that the decision to use the vending service was right and timely.

Maksym KYRYLENKO, Leading Reliability Engineer, BOF Shop:

"I am very pleased with this useful and creative new product in our shop. The prices are affordable, and the snack range is tasty and nutritious. Personally, I really like the hot dogs here, and I also buy coffee all the time. It's very convenient!"

Iryna KUZOVOVA, foreman for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products handling in the BOF Shop:

"I really like the new vending machines because now I can have a quick snack and get back to work. The vending service is also essential for those co-workers working the night shift and who do not have the opportunity to eat in the canteens at that time. We thank the enterprise for taking care of us!"

YuriI DOROSHENKO, Head of Social Affairs Department:

"Introduction of vending machines at manufacturing enterprises is becoming an increasingly popular practice that meets the modern needs of staff. After all, it allows for the creation of comfortable conditions for a "quick bite" or a short rest. Employees will have convenient access to food and drinks, and will be able to have a snack or a coffee, which is especially important for those who have limited time for lunch. Everyone will be able to find something to their liking. By taking care of the comfort of our employees, we are enhancing the corporate culture of Kamet Steel."
