"Oplich HUB", which was opened in Zaporizhzhia on July 18, was created with the support of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine and the Metinvest Group's humanitarian initiative "Saving Lives", in response to the internal request of society to care for mental health. There are many interesting and useful activities for the city residents. In particular, the community center "Oplich HUB" provides free and confidential legal advice.
– Here we advise people on matters of a legal nature. We also help in drafting documents of a non-procedural nature, i.e. preparing relevant applications. We can also conduct court cases, i.e., we prepare procedural documents and present them in court. Most of them usually relate to war. We often deal with receiving compensation for destroyed housing or the matter of crossing the border by persons who are liable for military service, said Olena NAZARENKO, a lawyer at the hub.
Albert also contacted "Oplich HUB" for help. The man is from Donetsk region, and after the start of the full-scale war, he moved to Zaporizhzhia. Now he counts on help of the center's lawyers in the matter of receiving a pension.
Another visitor of the hub is Mrs. Olga, also an internally displaced person. She says she learned about the community center from acquaintances. The woman is grateful for the professional and quick assistance.
– I learned about such hub from my colleagues. The girls suggested that it is possible to come here and get free legal advice. I called, they appointed me a day, and here I am, getting answers to all my questions. I am very grateful that now there are so many volunteers who are ready to help, who are creating such centers for people. This is very important, especially in such difficult military times, - said Olga.
