At Zaporizhzhia exhibition, a unique exhibit with the help of which an enemy tank was destroyed was shown.
Military accessories and household items of Ukrainian defenders, parts of enemy missiles and drones and other front-line trophies, works of art based on weapon fragments, patriotic paintings - all this, you can see at the 365 Days of Invincibility charity exhibition.
The event was arranged in the hub of the public organisation “Zaporizhzhia. Platform for Joint Action" by youth organisations of Zaporizhstal and Zaporizhcoke of Metinvest Group. During the war, the company's youth is actively involved in volunteering and defending of our country - more about this can be found on the information posters of the exhibition. There is also an interactive zone here. Everyone can take part in workshops on weaving camouflage nets and making trench candles, as well as leave wishes to our defenders on the yellow and blue flag. Roman Slobodianiuk, General Director of Zaporizhstal, who visited the exhibition, also wrote wishes.
– The year of the war has changed absolutely every Ukrainian. No one expected such invincibility from our people, but we proved that our strength is in unity. Since the early days of a large-scale invasion, Zaporizhstal and other enterprises of Metinvest got all their resources to help the country. We received displaced people, sent humanitarian supplies, fortified hospitals, and participated in the liquidation of enemy attacks. A lot of work fell on the shoulders of our employees-volunteers. Metinvest personnel proved to be not only skillful production workers, but also people who are responsive to the grief of others. And the charity event organized by our youth once again reminds us how much we can do together! - said Zaporizhstal CEO, Roman SLOBODIANIUK.
– The exhibition presents a military installation with military equipment which our defenders use for fighting - weapons, shells. The second part of the installation shows how the enemy attacked our city - shahids, a C300 rocket and much more (debris). In the Volunteer Products installation, you can see what our volunteering organisation produces and gives to defenders and what Metinvest produces. In particular, camouflage nets and covers, bulletproof vests, potbelly stoves, trench candles and various goodies,” said Anatoliy SHYRMA, the organiser of the exhibition, the chairman of the youth organisation at Zaporizhstal. - There is a military information installation. The posters show what our volunteer centre team did, with whom we collaborated, and how much aid we delivered to the military. For example, we collected 250,000 kilogrammes of humanitarian aid, made 5,000 trench candles, wove 120 camouflage nets, and prepared more than 10 tonnes of cookies for the military. We cooperated with 22 international and Ukrainian public and charitable organisations. The poster "Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front" notes how Metinvest Group helped the army: handed over 150 thousand bulletproof vests, 25 thousand helmets, 123 mobile shelters that save the lives of the military. These are just some of the figures. We also have an exhibition-auction where we sell various products made from used weapon parts and various products of volunteers. There is a selling exhibition of artificial products. All money raised will go to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Why "Matador" is unique
On the first day, an auction was held every half an hour. And souvenirs from the exhibition of single products - cute knitted cats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, unusual watches, patriotic hairpins and much more - can be purchased at any time. The cheapest ones are yellow and blue bracelets from 25 hryvnias and gingerbreads of the same colour from 30 hryvnias.
The charity sale was quite active. The most expensive lots - two painted tubes of hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher - were sold almost immediately. The one from "Matador" hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher was acquired by the general director of Zaporizhstal Roman Slobodianiuk.
By the way, "Matador" is the most unique item of the auction. This is the opinion of the curator of the exhibition and the volunteer centre of the youth organisation of Zaporizhstal, an employee of the plant, Oleg Donets.
– A fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian tank in Zaporizhzhia region using "Matador" hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. Unfortunately, the defender died in the same battle. Moreover, “Matador” was hand-painted by a cool well-known craftswoman from Zaporizhzhia, Honored Master of Folk Art, Galyna Pavliv,- said Oleg DONETS.
