As a result of the enemy's massive missile attack on 22 March, 10 private houses were destroyed in Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district, and 490 more were damaged. Work is still underway to eliminate the consequences of enemy hits, in particular in the private sector on Slavutych street.

There are dozens of people here now: members of the Cobra rescue service, specialists from the State Emergency Service and Zaporizhzhia enterprises, and volunteers. Zaporizhstal's equipment and specialists are also involved in sifting through remains.

According to Roman Slobodianiuk, General Director of the mill, the homes of 21 employees of Metinvest's Zaporizhzhia enterprises were damaged to varying degrees during the shelling. All of them will receive the necessary assistance from the mill.

"At this time, it is extremely important to support the city and its people, so Zaporizhstal does not stand aside. On my instructions, the Mills' prompt response headquarters collected information about the affected employees of Zaporizhstal and other company's enterprises in Zaporizhzhia. All of them will receive financial assistance from the mill to restore their homes and other necessary support.

Also, at the request of local government bodies and regional authorities, the mill provided equipment and specialists to eliminate the hits consequences, they have been working in coordination with other local services since 22 March until the consequences of the enemy attack are completely eliminated," said Roman SLOBODIANIUK.

According to official data, over seven thousand square metres of the city's territory are now littered with construction materials and missile debris.

"We started cleaning up the aftermath of incoming strike almost immediately. We are removing construction waste, various metal and concrete structures with the help of equipment from utility companies and Zaporizhstal", Oleksandr MALEV, deputy head of the Cobra special paramilitary emergency rescue service, said.

For the round trip the trucks involved in the work take about 50 tonnes of construction waste to landfills. They work almost without a break.

"Of course, people need help in such difficult times. It is almost impossible to remove all this debris using only our own resources. We have been here since early morning, and we will stay until we finish. Zaporizhstal has always helped the city and its residents, and I am sure it will not leave them alone in the face of trouble now", Oleksandr GERASIMENKO, Zaporizhstal driver involved in the rocket attack damage recovery.
