Residents of Zaporizhzhia receive sweets under the Saving Lives humanitarian project, which is implemented by Metinvest Group in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

The Saving Lives project, launched by Metinvest Group in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, continues its work in Zaporizhzhia. As part of the humanitarian initiative, IDPs, residents of communities where hostilities are taking place and socially vulnerable segments of the population receive food and hygiene kits.

Not so long ago, Oleksandrivsky regional administration also received aid from the project. Tea, condensed milk, cookies and antiseptics were delivered there. From this cargo, the employees of the social work department will prepare packages that will be handed over to large families of the town. Some of the goodies and antiseptics will be delivered to the district "points of invincibility" - for the town residents who seek for help there.

"We received aid provided by Metinvest Group under the Saving Lives project. Later on, it will be given to large families, IDP families and those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances,” said Uliana Ilman, Head of Social Work Department of Oleksandrivsky district of Zaporizhzhia City Centre of Social Services. “Now, thanks to the Saving Lives humanitarian initiative, we will prepare packages and hand them over to people. Each package will consist of 10 packs of tea, three tins of condensed milk, three packs of biscuits and a bottle of antiseptic. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, we will start giving the aid to people".

In addition to Oleksandrivsky district, humanitarian aid will be handed over to the administrations of Khortytsky, Zavodsky, Voznesenivsky, Dniprovsky, Komunarsky and Shevchenkivsky regions, as well as to the Tourist Information Centre. In general, it is planned to deliver 5.4 tonnes of humanitarian cargo.

"We continue to provide aid within the Saving Lives project. With the support of the city authorities in Zaporizhzhia, this time it will be given to large families and “points of invincibility” opened in Zaporizhzhia. We will deliver tea, antiseptics, condensed milk and biscuits. We hope that goodies will at least slightly improve the mood of children and adults. We stay strong and bring the victory closer together,” said Hanna HLAVCHEVA,  the project manager of the public organisation “Zaporizhzhia. Platform for Joint Action".

It should be noted that the Saving Lives project has been successfully implemented not only in Zaporizhzhia but also in other cities where Metinvest Group operates. The humanitarian initiative delivers important supplies to almost 70 territorial communities. Most of them are located on the territory of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. In total, more than 400,000 Ukrainians have already received various aid as part of the Saving Lives project.
