There are many large families working at Metinvest Central GOK, in which representatives of several generations remain loyal to the enterprise for many years. One of them is the Dobrovolski family, whose total work experience is 76 years. The family represents three generations and four employees of CGOK.
Nina Dobrovolska is a 38-year experienced founder of a labour dynasty. In 1971, she began working as a storekeeper in the material storage and distribution workshop of Central GOK. At that time, she had no idea that soon she would start a new family history. Nina witnessed an interesting period of the enterprise’s operation: CGOK had just got out of crisis and was gaining momentum in production volumes.
“The plant is my whole life and the only entry in my employment record book. For me, the history of CGOK is, in fact, the history of my family. I am proud that it is part of such a powerful, cutting-edge enterprise. The plant is not only production facilities, but also work personnel. Our family is united by the life principles that our parents passed on to us. This is dedication to the profession, hard work, focus on results,” said Nina DOBROVOLSKA.
The Dobrovolsky family has strong family relations and is united by a great sense of patriotism, love for their work and for their native Central GOK.
"I am now on a well-earned rest, but I still consider the plant my second home. I am very pleased that our family is not forgotten. Now I listen with special warmth to the stories of my son and grandson about the life of Central GOK. After all, our family has always been fully committed to our plant and profession, so we are very grateful that this is appreciated," Nina Petrovna says.
The family traditions were continued by her son Oleg Oleksandrovych. He was elected the head of the Dobrovolsky family. He came to the plant in 1988 and started working as a loader in the material storage and release shop. Then he was transferred to the crushing plant as a metalworker. And now, for more than 20 years, he has been working as the head of the fire protection team at the corporate fire station. He always treats any task responsibly, as he was taught in his family. For this, he has been repeatedly awarded for his diligent work with diplomas from the city and district councils and certificates of honour from the plant.
"During the celebration of the birthday of Central GOK, in which I took part, I felt a sense of pride in my family, my work and the plant. It is happiness, it is a confirmation that our work is important and valuable. Now is not the time to rest for us - we continue to work for the prosperity and stability of the plant. My children work here, and they continue our common cause with dignity. These are difficult times, and we need to hold on to each other. And good jobs are not easy to find. But in the close-knit family of the Central GOK, you are confident in the future and feel protected," Oleg DOBROVOLSKY, head of the labour family, said.
Since childhood, Oleg's son Vladislav knew that he would work where his father did – at Central GOK. Now he is an assistant locomotive driver of the UZT locomotive.
"My dad literally brought me to the plant by the hand, - the son of the head of the labour family says. – And I am grateful to him for that, and especially for the fact that our dynastic chain has not been broken. After all, my grandmother and my great-grandfather worked here. I like the fact that the good traditions of the plant are preserved and honoured at Central GOK, and people are treated with care and warmth. At the same time, the plant is a modern enterprise and is constantly renovated."
The Dobrovolsky family has always lived in the same rhythm with the plant, and they often discussed work issues at home. That is why Anastasiia, Oleg's daughter, dreamed of working at Central GOK since she was a little girl, as she saw no other professional path for herself. The atmosphere of friendliness, mutual respect and assistance that prevailed in the family played a huge role in choosing her future job. So, after graduating from a motor transport college, Anastasia came to work as an operator of the dispatching department at Mine Haulage Shop No. 1.
"I love my job very much, including for the wide opportunities for career path and development. New technologies are being introduced and interesting tasks are emerging. And, of course, stability and confidence in the future are very important. I am immensely grateful to my parents for helping me make the right choice," Anastasiia says.
Anastasia is currently expecting a baby girl. We believe that with time, the Dobrovolsky family will be joined by one more bricklayer, and the Central Plant will become a dear and reliable friend for the new generation of the family.
