Italian friends of Saving Lives project send useful gifts for children in Ukraine

Recently, the partners of the project - the Italian organization Usborne and its representative Francesca Gusti - organized a collection of donations to buy books and games in English for Ukrainian children. "Saving Life" purchased and delivered these useful gifts to young readers in Zaporizhzhia and Kamiansk.

Saving Lives has been with Ukraine for a year now. During the war, the project, launched by Metinvest Group in coordination with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, became a reliable support for almost half a million people. And now this humanitarian initiative is engaged not only in the supply of medicines, food and hygiene products, but also in other activities. For example, it implements prosthetics and psychological rehabilitation programs, supports social and cultural programs.

Recently, the project's partners, the Italian organization Usborne and its representative Francesca Gusti, collected books and games in English in Italy for children in Ukraine. Saving Lives helped to deliver these useful gifts and pass them on to readers in Zaporizhzhia and Kamianske.

Volunteers of Zaporizhstal brought didactic materials to the Svitanok boarding school in Zaporizhzhia to help children learn English more easily. Teachers of the school note that the educational literature and educational games from the Saving Lives humanitarian project will be useful in foreign language lessons. This gift can also be used in the classroom to build cross-curricular connections.

In Kamianske, gifts from Italian charity givers became part of a library for children from all over Ukraine who found home in Metinvest's shelter. All the books are of different subjects and levels of difficulty, so readers of all ages will find interesting literature to improve their English language skills.

We remind you that on the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, with the support of donors of the Saving Lives project, a playroom was set up in the Kamianske shelter. Then the Italian law company RiDiamo Onlus joined the case.

It is worth noting that the Saving Lives humanitarian initiative was created at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.  During the war, more than 4,000 tons of vital supplies have been delivered from abroad, and almost 200 companies from around the world have become donors to the project.
