Help - to Victory: the humanitarian mission of Metinvest's Kryvyi Rih enterprises

It's been two years since the humanitarian sector became a part of the life and work of Metinvest's Kryvyi Rih enterprises. In the warehouses of the mining and processing plants, miners volunteered to pack food parcels that were delivered to the city as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project. In total, they packed 163,180 packages, which formed a strategic stock in the GOKs' shelters and helped tens of thousands of people in need survive the hardship. The company continues to provide assistance to the least socially protected Ukrainians through Kryvyi Rih. Another batch of humanitarian aid from Metinvest is currently being distributed to the village councils of Hleyuvatska, Lozuvatska, Novolativska, Shyrokivska, Karpivska, Petrivska and Hrechanopodivska communities. It will be delivered to single mothers and people with disabilities. This time, the country-men received nearly 30,500 cans of meat and 3,800 hygiene kits. 'For Our Family, Working in a Mine Means Stability': Liudmyla Soldatenko

Even in peaceful times, one could not imagine operations at Metinvest Pokrovskcoal's sites without their female employees. In the time of war, when men are fighting for the country, this fact takes on a new meaning. Today an increasing number of members of the "fairer" sex are working underground and making a significant contribution to the victory.Liudmyla Soldatenko, a miner of the underground mine transport section of CG "Pokrovs'ke", is one of the company's female employees working underground. She began her career as an underground miner almost three years ago. Before that, she had worked for 17 years as a pump plant operator. She learned the ropes of the underground trade at the company's Employee Training and Development Centre - and she does not regret her choice."Of course, sometimes it's not easy," says Liudmyla, "but I don't complain, I like my job. My husband Serhii and my son Vitalii also work at the colliery group. Together, we stand strong on the production front. Furth

“There is no peace on Russian terms. Unless Russia is punished for what it has done, the world isn’t going to be safe for a long time.”

In an interview with The Telegraph, Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest Group, warned of the consequences of a possible Kremlin victory. Below is an adapted version of the original interview.“I don’t believe that if Ukraine fails, Putin will stop,” said Metinvest CEO Yuriy Ryzhenkov in an interview ahead of the two-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine. “The Baltic states, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia are the next targets.”Ryzhenkov’s comments were made just days before Putin threatened the US with a global war that will “bring humanity to the brink” if Capitol Hill deploys troops to Ukraine.ContextPutin’s iron grip on power was demonstrated again last week after Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny died while being held in a prison close to the Arctic Circle. His suspected poisoning has been described as a watershed moment for modern Russia as an increasingly insecure Kremlin tries to quash dissent.Yuriy Ryzhenkov, who has run the international steel and mining group Metinve

Metinvest Improves Transportation for Kamet Steel's Employees

Taking care of employees, even in difficult times of war, is among Metinvest Group's priorities. Kamet Steel has improved the quality of passenger transportation for its employees. A new contractor, "Avtobus-DNIPRO", has been providing such services at the enterprise since January. The carrier has taken on a challenging task, as the company's employees are transported along 13 routes, with buses covering more than 500 km daily. The total passenger traffic on all routes is 60,000 people per month."A lot of work has been done in this short period of time. It was not smooth sailing from the get-go, it took some time for the carrier to adapt to the routes. However, the persistent efforts made by the Road Transport Department in cooperation with the new contractor have already yielded some results. Every day, we see the plant's employees travelling in comfortable buses from remote areas of the city and neighbouring settlements to the plant's gates and on its territory. Taking into account

From metallurgist to defender: the story of a Zaporizhzhia resident who joined the defence of the country

Volodymyr, a metallurgist from Zaporizhstal, volunteered to join the Territorial Defence Forces and spoke about his motivation for fighting. War fundamentally changes people's lives, divides them into "before" and "after", and teaches them to live anew – with new values, goals, desires and dreams. Prior to the full-scale invasion, Volodymyr worked in the Quality Control Department of Zaporizhstal. Since 2013, the man has been working as a controller (supervisor), and later, after being promoted, he became a foreman. With the outbreak of a full-scale war in February 2022, the man continued to work at Zaporizhstal, supporting the country's economy in times of uncertainty and crisis together with the enterprise's staff. The metallurgist helped volunteers and citizens, in particular, in strengthening the civil infrastructure, and later felt that he had to be at the military front – among his fellow defenders. – In the autumn of 2022, I became a volunteer fighter and joined the Territorial

The three installations here form a triptych dedicated to the loss of home and the question of where home is. Is home the walls? Is it loved ones? Is it us? The first installation is City. A ruined city. A city of memory. A city of empty houses. The second one consists of suitcases – the Pillar of Destroyed Life, among which there are artifacts of the Museum. The third is the Refugees wall, where each figure hides an emotion, a story of a person who lef
