Metinvest's humanitarian hub, which has been operating at Zaporizhstal since the outbreak of the full-scale war, continues to receive, sort and distribute humanitarian aid to people affected by hostilities. Over the course of the humanitarian hub's operation, more than 1 million food and hygiene packages have been provided to Ukrainians.The bulk of the aid - almost 800,000 food and hygiene packages was distributed as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project, established by Metinvest in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. The humanitarian initiative brought together ten foundations and NGOs, as well as more than 250 donor companies from around the world. Metinvest Polytechnic has introduced a new safety training programme called "Risk-oriented approach to work with electrical equipment". University lecturers have already delivered this training to the first groups of employees of Metinvest's enterprises in Kamianske and Zaporizhzhia. In order to save electricity consumption when pumping reduced volumes of process water, new pumping units at water and slurry cycle stations were purchased and installed at Central GOK. Investments in the implementation of this project amounted to UAH 6.7 mln. According to the experts, the expected annual savings will reach more than UAH 19 mln.
