Kamet-Steel's 400/200 Rolling Mill Completes Key Stage of Staged Major Overhaul

Increasing the reliability of equipment for the efficient production of high-quality merchant products. As part of the 2024 overhaul program, important equipment of the 400/200 mill was restored at Kamet-Steel.The staged major overhaul crossed its key milestone, during which the repairmen focused their efforts primarily on the equipment of the reheating furnace and the line of rolling stands.The main tasks were successfully completed – ten water-cooled heating racks of the furnace were replaced with the simultaneous replacement of pipelines. Also, the specialists of Zaporizhvognetryv restored the refractory lining of nine ten-meter horizontal racks, which play a key role in the process of cooling water exchange. As part of the annual environmental programme, INGULETS GOK continues seasonal dust prevention works at its industrial sites. Currently, the slopes of the tailings pond are being sown with perennial grasses in the Process Water and Sludge Facilities Shop.Over the past five years, INGULETS GOK has been successfully and widely using green technologies for dust suppression. The company's specialists are constantly looking for new effective measures to reduce environmental impact, giving preference to environmentally friendly methods. For 2024, the Environmental Protection Department of the enterprise has planned to carry out phytosowing on 20 hectares of slopes of the tailings pond. Metinvest Supported the Creation of the “Tree of Memory” Memorial to the Fallen Ukrainian Defenders in Zaporizhzhia

The “Tree of Memory,” the first installation of the “Planting” memorial complex dedicated to the fallen Ukrainian defenders, was unveiled in Zaporizhzhia as part of the contemporary “Gogolfest. Pokrova” arts festival, held from 18 to 20 October.
