Serhii Berezhnyi was born in Zaporizhzhia in 1973. Before joining the steel industry, he did his military service, worked as a plasterer and excavator operator, and gained experience in the gas facility sector. From 1996, Serhii worked at Zaporizhgas as a fitter responsible for the operation and repair of gas equipment. When he joined Zaporizhstal, he was already an experienced specialist. In June 2002, he started as a maintenance fitter in the Gas Shop and in March 2011, he became a gas operator and later a gas purification operator.
