This year, the company has completed major renovations of two welfare facilities and installed two new modular sanitary units, with a total investment of UAH 23 million.The company has put into operation upgraded welfare facilities for Section No. 3 of the Cold Rolling Mill and Metallurgical Equipment Repair Shop No. 1, spanning a total area of more than 1,100 m². The facilities underwent extensive renovations, including the replacement of all utilities, windows, doors, and plumbing fixtures, along with interior finishing work. Zaporizhstal has launched a pilot project to equip overhead cranes with pre-operation automatic signalling systems. The first two cranes in the railway transport management department are now outfitted with both sound and light signals. The system works quite simply: light and sound beacons on the cranes alert employees of the machine activation. The crane won’t start unless these signals are on. In addition to intermittent sound signals, the high-risk zone beneath and around the crane will be continuously illuminated in red.
