Dear friends,

For the second consecutive year, we find ourselves celebrating Ukraine's Independence Day amidst the turmoil of war. Today, it's more than just a holiday. Independence embodies our identity, an identity we are defending at great personal and national cost. But the enemy will never break us, for Ukraine resides in each and every one of us. Throughout our history, we have proven our resilience and courage time and again. 

Wherever the Ukrainian heart beats, there is Ukraine. It's in the defensive positions of our soldiers, the bustling centres of our volunteers, and the industrious workshops of our steel makers. Metinvest has been, is, and will always be a reliable pillar for our country, forming the steel backbone of our future recovery. 

Our enterprises work for the sustainability of the Ukrainian economy. Today, the Group's steel fortifies and protects the lives of our defenders. And when victory comes, it will be instrumental in quickly rebuilding our homes, schools, and hospitals. Our "Saving Lives" humanitarian project is crucial in averting a catastrophe and providing Ukrainians with both physical and psychological rehabilitation. 

Independence is more than a dream; it's a common goal pursued by millions of Ukrainians and our partners around the world. Despite the current challenges, we commemorate Independence Day as Ukraine's birthday. I firmly believe that our united wish, bolstered by millions of determined steps, will become a reality. I wish for victory to come soon, and for everyone to return to their homes and embrace a peaceful life.
