Internally Displaced Children Who Entered First Grade in Zaporizhzhia Received Gifts from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation

For two weeks at the "Metinvest Green Center", internally displaced children who entered first grade received gifts from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

Rinat Akhmetov Foundation sent humanitarian aid to internally displaced children who will start first grade outside their hometown: more than 1,600 sets with everything they need for education. The sets contain everything that schoolchildren will need during lessons: from notebooks and stationery to diaries and paints.

– This year, there are about a thousand first-graders in our city. Who, unfortunately, are going to school for the first time in their lives outside of their hometown. Rinat Akhmetov Foundation completely met the stationery needs of these children. And it was for the Knowledge Day that we gave out the last such gifts to children, - said Oleksandr BALABA, head of the representative office of the public union "Green Center Metinvest" in Zaporizhzhia.

Besides, by September 1, children were also treated to a real festival of knowledge in the "Green Center". A small lottery was held for those present. Of course, the winners has received incentive gifts.

Among those present was Olena OVDIY with her daughter. The family came to Zaporizhzhia from Huliaipole. She admits that such support is very timely.

– Of course, it is difficult for everyone now. And when you're not at home yet, you only have things that fit in your suitcases - it's even harder. So it is very nice that people like us - internally displaced - are supported and helped. I think that such gifts will be enough for us, - said Olena.

The distribution of sets has already been completed - all first-graders received their gifts and started the school year with stationery from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
